Honeycomb Walls
The Swiss-cheese trip: slot canyons with honeycomb walls, a night under the stars and a valley of goblins.
Overview · starts Green River, 7:00 am
This is the trip our guides would take on their day off. Little Wild Horse Canyon is a narrow slot whose walls are pitted with tafoni — pockets from thumb-sized to room-sized. We walk it in the morning, loop back through Bell Canyon, and camp near Goblin Valley.
The second day is for the goblins: thousands of mushroom-shaped hoodoos you can wander between freely. Camping gear, meals and a camp chef are included; you bring a sleeping bag or rent one from us.
