At night every hypercar is two white dots. We wanted the X1 to be recognised from three hundred metres before you could see its shape.
Two lines, not two dots
The headlamps are two horizontal lines with a gap in the middle — the same gap as the cooling channel behind them. Light and air share one opening.

At the rear, one red line runs the full width. Under hard braking it pulses from the centre outwards, so the car behind sees the X1 slowing before it sees it stop.
Lamps as software
Seventeen light elements, each with its own line of code. Owners can choose how the car greets them. Most choose the slowest one.
