What red light actually does

Separating the science of photobiomodulation from the Instagram glow.

Red light at around 630 nanometres and near-infrared at around 830 are absorbed by an enzyme in our mitochondria.

The result is more cellular energy and less inflammation — the mechanism behind the effects on skin and recovery.

The evidence is strongest for wound healing, collagen production and muscle recovery after training.

“Light is a drug. The wavelength is the molecule and the minutes are the dose.”

Dose matters more than people think. Too little does nothing; too much does nothing either.

Our panels deliver a measured dose at a fixed distance, which is why we ask you to stand on the marks on the floor.

Three sessions a week for eight weeks is where we usually see a difference.
