(Bespoke)
Bespoke

Ten to twelve weeks, three fittings and about eighty hours of hand work. Here is every one of them.

Consult
You, the cutter and the cloth books. We talk about how you live, not only what you wear.

Measure
Twenty-six measurements and notes on posture: the dropped shoulder, the long arm, the way you stand.

Cut
Your paper pattern is drafted by hand and chalked onto the cloth. The cutter makes the first cut.

Baste
The first fitting: a jacket held together with white tacking thread, ready to be taken apart.

Forward
The second fitting, nearly finished. Sleeves set, collar on, a last look at the balance.

Finish
Buttonholes by hand, eight minutes each, then the final pressing. Your name goes on the label.
(Questions)
Good to know.
01How long does a bespoke suit take?
Ten to twelve weeks and three fittings. If you are visiting London, we can arrange the fittings within a single week.
02Do you travel?
Our cutters hold trunk shows in six cities each season. Fittings can be done there; the work is always done on Savile Row.
03Do you make for women?
Yes. Amara Okafor leads our ladies’ tailoring, with the same cutting room and the same three fittings.
04What is the difference from made-to-measure?
Made-to-measure adjusts a standard pattern. Bespoke drafts a new one for you, by hand, and keeps it in our basement for life.
05Can you alter a suit made elsewhere?
We alter only our own work, so we can stand behind every stitch.
