A day at the organ
Eight hours with our nose, Camille Arnaud, and 1,200 small brown bottles.
The organ is a tiered desk of small bottles, arranged by family so the hand finds them without the eyes.
Camille smells in the morning only, before coffee, and never more than thirty trials a day. After that, the nose lies.
Everything is weighed to the thousandth of a gram. A perfume is a recipe; a recipe is a promise to be repeated exactly.
