(Atelier)
The atelier
Rue Jacob, Paris. One nose, six assistants, an organ of 1,200 materials and a cellar where every perfume rests for eight weeks.

(The nose)
“Forty materials is a sketch. Two hundred trials is a perfume.”
Camille Arnaud trained in Grasse and at the Osmothèque in Versailles before founding SILLAGE in 2011, in a former bookbinder’s shop on rue Jacob.

Brief
Every perfume starts as a sentence, never as a list of notes.

Organ
Our nose works at an organ of 1,200 materials. The first trial has around forty.

Trials
Two hundred trials on average. Each one worn for a full day, not smelled on a strip.

Maceration
The finished juice rests for eight weeks in steel, in the dark, at 12 °C.

Bottling
Filled, crimped and labelled by hand in our Paris atelier. Numbered.

(Visit)
Sit at the organ.
Atelier evenings every first Thursday, eight guests, two hours.
