Orbit
This studio makes art toys you can hold, and one red astronaut who refuses to stay on the shelf.
↘33 centimetres of hand-painted vinyl, three hundred numbered figures, famous for floating where nobody asked him to.
About Orbit
Lisbon sculptor Teo Marrin started drawing astronauts on the walls of the Bairro Alto in 2014 — small, round, always a little lost.
COSMO is the first one he built in three dimensions: sculpted in clay, scanned, 3D-printed in eleven parts, cast in vinyl and painted by hand in his studio by the river.
About Cosmo
In short: he replaced the white suit with a red one, and the helmet with one big enough to hold a daydream. Every figure is 33 cm from boots to antenna.
Each one is numbered under the left boot, signed on the backpack, and shipped in a hatch-shaped box you will not want to throw away.
