On the first day on site we do not draw rooms. We draw the sun: where it rises in June and in December, where it sets, how high it climbs.
Then the wind, the view and the neighbours. Only then the rooms, placed where the light is best for what happens in them.
A kitchen that gets the morning, a terrace that gets the sunset, a bedroom that stays cool. The house follows the light.
