The estimate is agreed before work starts. If we find anything else we call and ask, rather than presenting it at the till.

Servicing

Labour prices are for mid-range cars. Budget cars cost less and premium more; the calculator on the home page is more precise.

Interim serviceOil and oil filter change, air filter, brake and suspension inspection, fluid levels. Every 10,000 km.

Full serviceEverything in the interim service plus plugs, fuel filter, brake fluid, belts and rollers, and a throttle body clean. Every 30,000 km.

Brake fluid changeWith all circuits bled in turn. Every two years, and not as a formality: old fluid absorbs water and boils in the mountains.

Diagnostics

Computer diagnosticsWe read every unit separately: engine, gearbox, ABS, airbags, climate. You get a printout with an explanation.

Cylinder endoscopyA camera through the spark plug hole. Carbon, scoring and valve condition without stripping the engine.

Injector bench testThe actual delivery of every injector. More than 5% difference and the engine misfires however many plugs you change.

Thermal inspectionWe look for heat where it cannot be seen: a sticking caliper, a bearing, a break in the wiring.

Pre-purchase inspectionTwo hours: lift, paint gauge, scanner, test drive. A written report and photos. The best money you can spend before buying used.

A separate bay and a separate mechanic. Nobody touches the high-voltage side without certification.

Module-by-module battery diagnosticsReal capacity, degradation, variance between modules. Numbers, not “the battery is like new”.

What people ask

Can I bring my own parts?

Yes, and it does not void the guarantee on the labour. It only voids the guarantee on the part itself — we cannot answer for someone else's component.

Why are you cheaper than the main dealer?

We do not pay for a showroom, lounge coffee and three managers' salaries. The equipment is the same and often so are the hands — half our mechanics came from main dealers.

Do you return old parts?

Always, in a bag, without being reminded. If somewhere tells you “we have already thrown it out”, that is a reason to be wary.

How long is the wait for a booking?

Diagnostics usually the next day. A service in two or three days. Emergencies, if the car will not move, the same day.

What about the guarantee?

Twenty-four months on the labour. If something comes back after our repair, we redo it free and without arguing about whose fault it is.
