A century on the canal
Viareggio has built boats since 1900. Our yard sits at the end of the canal where it began.
The canal of Viareggio is lined with yards for two kilometres. Most of the world’s superyachts over 40 metres have been touched by someone from this town.
Our yard was a timber boatbuilder until 1974. The sheds still have the wooden trusses of the old slipways.
Today it has three covered halls, the largest 140 metres long, and a floating dock that can lift 4,000 tonnes.

Four hundred people work here every day, and about a thousand more in the workshops of the town.
We launch two or three yachts a year. Every launch is a public holiday on the canal.
