The chairthat turns

The first Arco, in 1961, did not turn. Our founder added the swivel a year later, after watching his father drag an armchair round the living room every afternoon to follow the sun.

Forty years in one chair

A customer in Turin sent us a photograph of her Arco: the leather on the right arm darker than the left, from forty years of a reading lamp on that side.

Aniline leather darkens where it is touched.

Silence

The bearing in the base is sealed and greased for life. If you can hear it turn, send it back to us.
