Every style runs at more than one level, and the level is about the steps rather than about you. If you pick wrong, the teacher will move you and nobody will mention it again.

I have never danced. Which class do I take?
Any class marked Beginner, and it genuinely does not matter which style. Most people try two or three in the first month before settling — your pass covers all of them.
Do I need a partner for salsa?
No. Partners rotate every few minutes, which is how you learn to dance with anyone rather than with one person. Couples are welcome and also get rotated.
What do I wear?
Anything you can move in, and shoes with a smooth sole for partner work. Heels classes: bring them, dance the first month in trainers if you would rather.
Is there an age limit?
Kids classes are 7 to 14. Adult classes start at 16 and the oldest person in the building is 71, so no.
Can I watch before I join?
You can, but we would rather you took the free class — watching a dance class from the side tells you almost nothing about how it feels.
