Read the game.
The umpire bowls the ball between the two teams lined up at the centre.
The ball’s path is a right of way. Cross it in front of a rider and the whistle blows.
Two riders meet shoulder to shoulder at a gallop to push each other off the line.
Through the posts, at any height. Teams change ends after every goal.

A polo pony reaches sixty kilometres an hour in four strides, then stops dead in two. Faster than a racehorse off the line.
